One of the most traditional cup handles that Second Nature has to offer is the Cup Handle Pewter (64mm centres) - H624.64.PE, as it not only has a very aged looking pewter finish but also four faux screws along the top of the handle. These are for show only, so you won’t have to worry about inserting them yourself once it arrives, as they are part of the same solid design. The real attachment is concealed underneath the handle with fixing centres at 64mm apart from each other. Once attached, the faux screws will give the appearance that the handle is attached by these.
To boost the aged effect of the handle, you will see darker shading towards the edges on the handle and in the centre of the screws. It’s shaded but not black, giving it more of a used appearance, as if it has been touched by hand for many years. This also means that the finish is incredibly smooth. The surface is almost reflective, giving you a sense that this is a genuine antique pewter product.
The solid design and material that the handle is made from boosts it’s strength and gives it a body that will put up with constant use and resist moisture, which may cause blemishing of the surface of non-resistant handles.
